Release notes
Cocoon 3.11 adds folder layout controls and fixes multi-user Android behaviour and enhanced access on Android 13 Retroid devices.
Recent reports
Individual reports; versions and hardware may differ.
One 16-bit Duo owner using Cocoon reports about 17% battery used over roughly five hours away from home, with the device in a bag between commute sessions of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Persona 3 FES, Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time. They later said this includes play time, not pure idle, without saying how long they played.
One Duo owner reports about 10% battery drain every few hours with Cocoon while the device was closed, compared with little drain using the stock home screen. The cause is not known yet.
From Duo reviews
Reported settings and results. A tested build may differ from the latest release.
Retro Game Corps alternates between ES-DE and Cocoon, praises Cocoon’s dual-screen layout, and demonstrates it launching configured emulators. No Cocoon version is stated.
OJAYSAN demonstrates Cocoon’s continue/resume flow on a purchased retail unit. They attribute some interface lag to artwork scraping running in the background; no Cocoon version is stated.
WULFF DEN likes Cocoon as the easiest launcher to set up, while saying a launcher is optional and they still often open emulators directly.
OJAYSAN demonstrates Cocoon’s app-switching flow on a regular Duo. They tentatively call the version 3.1, but the installed build is not confirmed.
